Thank you for your interest in working at Staten Island Day Camp Inc. Our staff is composed of a carefully screened and selected group of college students, graduate students, teachers, and former Staten Island Day Camp campers. We seek mature, enthusiastic, conscientious and caring staff members.

Staten Island Day Camp offers a wide range of program activities. Our staff consists of highly qualified directors, administrators, counselors, specialty counselors, and certified swim instructors. Specialty counselors possess extensive expertise in their areas of expertise (e.g. swimming, dance, arts & crafts, drama, music, soccer, basketball, softball, and tennis).

Please read the General Employment terms listed below. All counselors MUST be able to meet all terms.

General Employment Terms:

1. CAMP SEASON: June 28th-August 20th, 2010 (38 days); Monday
     through Friday. All camp staff members are required to work every day
     camp is in session. Camp hours: 8:20 AM – 4:10 PM
2. ATTENDANCE: 100% ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED
3. EXTENDED HOURS: All counselors will be required to work four
     sessions of extended hours, which will consist of two A.M. and two P.M.
     sessions (7:30 A.M. & 5:00 P.M).
4. STAFF MEDICAL: A medical form is supplied to each employee by the
     camp to be completed by the employee. The completed form must be
     submitted to the camp by May 31st 2010.
5. SALARY: Salary is based upon qualifications, and experience.

Position: Dance Instructor

Qualifications:
   1. College student or beyond.
   2. Expertise in various forms of dance appropriate for young children
   3. Ability to teach, supervise children in a dance class environment
   4. Enthusiastic, creative and energetic
   5. Ability to meet the above General Terms of Employment

Position: Counselor

Qualifications:
   1. College student or beyond
   2. Enthusiastic and energetic
   3. Ability to swim
   4. Ability to work with and supervise children in a day camp
        environment
