have been a part of Staten Island Day Camp for the last 18 years.
I began that stretch as a camper when I was just 7 years
old.
From the first day I attended camp, I knew I would never
want to leave.
As I grew up, and most of the campers who I attended with
were moving on to different things each summer, I continued to
attend... . Staten Island Day Camp has been one of the best things in
my life.
.... I remember when I was a camper, the bonds that I formed
with my counselors each year were very special. Now, as a
counselor, it is very special to me that the campers that I am
responsible for look up to me as if I were like a big brother to
them. The friendships that the campers make with each other
every summer are also very special.
I honestly don't know what my summers would be like without SIDC and
I thank you all for that. You are like a second family to me. I
already can't wait for summer 2010."

I just wanted to say thank you for giving my son,
Ralphy, the summer of his life. He came home everyday
and went on & on all night about the fun he had, He made
such wonderful friends and the counselors are great!!
This was his 3rd year with Staten Island Day Camp and he
cannot wait until next year! I would recommend this camp
to anyone. I never worried about his safety during his
time with you. I love that you try so hard to make these
kids have so much fun without leaving the grounds! Have
a happy winter and see you in 2010.

"Tayla is so excited about going
back this summer, which is so nice to see. I have wanted to say
thank you to all of the counselors and staff. I gave you an
insecure, scared girl last summer (which I tried so hard to help
her with), and you guys gave me back a confident girl who
learned how to swim. That was so huge for Tayla, she has been
terrified of the water her whole life, every summer it seemed to
get worse. Last summer she went from not going in the pool
